Empowering Women: Navigating Equity and Collaboration in Leadership at SHeroes

We are a women-owned and led brand that takes pride in recognizing and utilizing the talents of women to the fullest. Our community has been instrumental in our growth, and we are committed to extending the same support to many other women.

Our founder and Chief Creative Officer, Tanya Ashraf, was a panelist speaker at the SHeroes event held at the Khaleej Times HQ in Al Qouz by Funun Arts Group. The event was focused on Equity, Collaboration, and Inspiring Inclusion, with a keen focus on promoting diversity in leadership positions.

Navigating the complexities of an ever-evolving social landscape and achieving equity is fundamental for advancement. The nature of our work requires constant collaboration, it becomes vital to create a space where opinions and perspectives are heard regardless of constructs like gender.

“I firmly believe that addressing discrimination head-on is imperative for fostering a healthy and productive work environment. To tackle this issue, I embraced a strategy rooted in emotion and communication—a method I’ve learned to be incredibly potent, thanks to the wisdom imparted by my eldest daughter. She’s always been very transparent with her emotions.”   Tanya Ashraf

Collaborating with like-minded women from all walks of life is one of the ways we try to inch closer to achieving the collective goal of inclusion. We have had successful and fruitful collaborations that have resulted in stunning pieces of art. Our collection with Petra Keltanbach is a testament to this, where we realize the power of creative partnerships. Executing any collaboration requires a joint effort all differences have to be set aside, and this is where equity plays an important role.

Our anticipation is rooted in the belief that more platforms that encourage open dialogue about the need for change are necessary. Furthermore, these platforms should not only facilitate discussions of the need for change but also acknowledge and bring forward personalities that inspire change. As a society, we should celebrate those who challenge the status quo, break down barriers, and strive for inclusivity. We believe that such individuals ought to be recognized and celebrated for their contributions to society. And, as they say, “Here’s to strong women. May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”
